Tya Pierce, MACP, Registered Provisional Psychologist
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. I bring over a decade of experience as a perinatal nurse and my own journey as a mother of four, including the loss of a child, to my work as a provisional psychologist. It’s a profound privilege to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate trauma, grief, and the many challenges of the perinatal period and beyond.
Focus Areas
and Expertise
Trauma & Grief
Reproductive Mental Health
I bring over a decade of experience as a perinatal nurse, working with individuals and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. This background helps me understand the complex medical and emotional layers that can shape your experience in this season of life.
My own journey as a mother of four, including navigating birth-related trauma and the profound loss of a child, deeply informs my work. I hold great respect for the vulnerability, strength, and courage it takes to seek support during and after pregnancy.
Couples & Relationship Support
General Mental Health
I support individuals, couples, and families as they process trauma, grief, and the many transitions that can arise in the perinatal period and beyond. Together, we work to understand your story, honour your pain, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and other modalities. I aim to offer a steady, compassionate presence as we build on your strengths and create space for meaningful change.
