Cheryl Kalinowski, Registered Psychologist

I offer individual therapy for adults and youth (8+ years)
My background in recreation therapy with seniors has shaped my belief in the power of connection, creativity, and meaningful activity across the lifespan. As a trauma therapist with extensive experience in EMDR, I bring both clinical depth and a warm, steady presence to our work together, so you do not have to carry what you have been holding alone.

Focus Areas
and Expertise

Trauma

Couples/Family

I have provided EMDR therapy for over 20 years, using a highly relational approach that honours your nervous system and moves at your pace.

I have worked as a couples and family therapist for over 25 years, drawing on my training at Loma Linda University and a deeply relational approach to help partners and families navigate conflict, repair, and connection.

Life Challenges & Changes

Caregiver Stress

Whether with emerging adults, the sandwich generation, new Canadians, or retiring veterans, I enjoy exploring growth & outlook, and processing obstacles and exploring change, moving into the depths through our therapeutic connection.

I have extensive experience supporting Edmonton seniors and their caregivers. I am also honoured to walk with caregivers of those facing an end-of-life illness.

Training & Approaches

I approach my work with cultural humility, empathy, and a strengths-based lens. I’m interested in drawing from several approaches to support you in your healing and growth, always tailoring our work to your unique needs and context.
